The podcast (in production) Open Book: Reading Between the Wines is a book club podcast hosted by reader/writer Bia Corcoran and reader/marketer Jessica Sorentino. Each episode, we crack open a new title and dig in from three distinct angles: the emotional lens of a reader, the craft perspective of a writer, and the strategic eye of a marketer. Get to Know Me
Hello! I’m Jessica. I’ve had the privilege of working with leading names in the publishing industry for over 10 years. From Simon & Schuster to Macmillan Publishers, I’m fully immersed in the business of books. To say I enjoy working with authors is an understatement—nothing brings me more joy than seeing stories reach the people who need them most.
Outside of work, I do my best to focus on balance. Staying healthy is essential to maintaining my creativity (also, I absolutely love prioritizing my wellbeing…it’s my favorite hobby). As my spirit guide Matthew McConaughey would say: I love breaking a sweat—physical and mental—on a daily basis. Whether it’s a true workout, a nature walk, or a stroll around the neighborhood, movement gives me clarity and sparks my inspiration. I’m an avid reader, and recently, I’ve taken up needlepoint as a way to unwind as I (re)watch Netflix. Currently, I’m stitching future ornaments and aspire to make Rob, Lira and myself Christmas stockings.
